Professor Dr. R K Mittal , Former Director of BITS-Pilani and Former Vice Chancellor is an academic leader of eminence, who has championed higher education as a learned academician and able administrator for the past 40 years. Prof. Dr. R K Mittal received BE (honours) in 1973 and ME degree from BITS-Pilani in 1975, and a PhD degree in software engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani. He obtained highest rank in order of merit in ME degree programme and was awarded institute’s gold medal. He joined academics at BITS and had been teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the last four decades. He has guided several MTech dissertation and PhD students. He is the founding member of the Centre for Robotics and Intelligent Systems at BITS Pilani. Prof. Dr. R K Mittal has attended national and international conferences, presented/published numerous papers in reputed journals and authored several books on robotics.,.” We welcome him to the Joy University as Advisor to Chancellor with a hope to build on the Joy University’s academic momentum and lead it to greater achievements.

Prof. Dr. Sartaj K Sahni

Professor Dr. Sartaj K Sahni is a Distinguished Professor of Computer and Information Sciences and Engineering at the University of Florida. He is also a member of the European Academy of Sciences, a Fellow of IEEE, ACM, AAAS, and Minnesota Supercomputer Institute, and a Distinguished Alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.

In 1997, he was awarded the IEEE Computer Society Taylor L. Booth Education Award for contributions to Computer Science and Engineering education in the areas of data structures, algorithms, and parallel algorithms”, and in 2003, he was awarded the IEEE Computer Society W. Wallace McDowell Award “for contributions to the theory of NP-hard and NP-complete problems”. Dr. Sahni was awarded the 2003 ACM Karl Karlstrom Outstanding Educator Award for “outstanding contributions to computing education through inspired teaching, development of courses and curricula for distance education, contributions to professional societies, and authoring significant textbooks in several areas including discrete mathematics, data structures, algorithms, and parallel and distributed computing.” In 2016, Dr. Sahni was awarded the IEEE Technical Committee on Scalabale Computing (TCSC) Award for Excellence in Scalable Computing for “undamental contributions to scalable computing and leadership in service to the scalable computing community.”
Dr. Sahni has published over four hundred and twenty research papers and written 15 texts. He has 15 US patents. His research publications and patents are on the design and analysis of efficient algorithms, parallel computing, interconnection networks, design automation, and medical algorithms. He is past Editor-in-Chief of ACM Computing Surveys and past co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing. Presently, he is on the editorial board of 17 other journals. He is also a member of the steering committee of several international conferences.

Prof. Dr. Rajkumar Buyya

Prof. Dr. Rajkumar Buyya, IEEE Fellow for contributions to Cloud Computing in 2015 is currently a Redmond Barry Distinguished Professor and the Director of the Cloud Computing and Distributed Systems (CLOUDS) Laboratory, University of Melbourne, Australia. He has authored more than 625 publications and seven text books including Mastering Cloud Computing published by McGraw Hill, China Machine Press, and Morgan Kaufmann for Indian, Chinese and international markets, respectively. He is one of the highly cited authors in computer science and software engineering worldwide with (h-index=153, g=334, and 120,700+ citations).
Dr. Buyya is recognized as a “Web of Science Highly Cited Researcher” by Thomson Reuters, a Fellow of IEEE, and Scopus Researcher of the Year 2017 with Excellence in Innovative Research Award by Elsevier for his outstanding contributions to Cloud Computing.
Dr. Buyya has led the establishment and development of key community activities, including serving as foundation Chair of the IEEE Technical Committee on Scalable Computing and five IEEE/ACM conferences. These contributions and international research leadership of Dr. Buyya are recognized through the award of “2009 IEEE Medal for Excellence in Scalable Computing” from the IEEE Computer Society TCSC. He served as the founding Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Cloud Computing. He is currently serving as Co-Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Software: Practice and Experience.

Prof. Dr. Yaj Medury

Dr. Medury is an acclaimed academician and a seasoned professional with more than three decades of opulent academic and administrative experience. Before joining Mahindra Group, Dr. Yajulu Medury was the Vice Chancellor of Bennett University at Greater Noida, U.P. At Bennett University, Dr. Medury developed academic partnerships with Georgia Tech for Engineering, Johnson Business Cornell University for Management, Cornell Law School for Law, Babson College USA for Entrepreneurship and others. In addition, between 2001 and 2003, Dr. Medury successfully established 3 Universities (2 State and 1 Deemed). Prior to that Dr. Medury was the Vice Chancellor of Jaypee University of IT, Himachal Pradesh and Founding Vice Chancellor of VIT University, Vellore. Immediately before that he was the Chairman & Managing Director of Educational Consultants of India Limited, a Public Sector Undertaking of the Government of India. His contributions to the field of academics have been widely acknowledged. He has more than 40 publications to his credit which have been extensively circulated in national and international journals and conferences. Dr. Medury has a B.Tech Honours degree from IIT, Kharagpur; MS and Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA.

Prof. Sanjay Kumar Singh completed his B.Tech in Computer Engineering., M.Tech in Computer Applications and Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering. Currently he is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT BHU, Varanasi. His research areas include Biometrics, Computer Vision, Image & Video Processing, Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence. He has published over 100 national and international journal publications, book chapters and conference papers. He is also a Guest Editorial Board Member of Multimedia Application and Tools, Springer, International Journal of Information and Computer Security, Inderscience, and the EURASIP Journal of Image and Vision Processing (Springer). Currently, Prof. Singh has served as Guest editor, TPC member and reviewer for various conferences and reputed journals. He is a member of the IEEE, Computer Society of India and the Association for Computing Machinery. Prof. S K Singh  is Certified Novell Engineer (CNE) from Novell Netware, USA and Certified Novell Administrator (CNA) from Novell Netware USA. Prof. Singh has vast teaching experience of more than 30 years and his teaching and Research Interests include Data Structure and Algorithms, Computer System Organization, Artificial Intelligence, Selected Topics in Machine Learning.

Prof. Krishna Moorthy Sivalingam

Krishna M. Sivalingam is an Institute Chair Professor in the Department of CSE, IIT Madras, Chennai, INDIA, where he also served as Head of Department from Feb. 2016 – Feb. 2019. Earlier, he was a Professor in the Dept. of CSEE at University of Maryland, Baltimore County, Maryland, USA; with the School of EECS at Washington State University, Pullman, USA from 1997 until 2002; and with the University of North Carolina Greensboro, USA from 1994 until 1997. He has also conducted research at Lucent Technologies' Bell Labs in Murray Hill, NJ, and at AT&T Labs in Whippany, NJ.
He received his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from State University of New York at Buffalo in 1994 and 1990 respectively; and his B.E. degree in Computer Science and Engineering in 1988 from Anna University's College of Engineering Guindy, Chennai (Madras), India. While at SUNY Buffalo, he was a Presidential Fellow from 1988 to 1991.
He holds four patents in computer networks and has published several research articles including more than eighty journal publications. He has published an edited book on Next Generation Network Technologies in 2011, on Wireless Sensor Networks in 2004 and on optical WDM networks in 2000 and 2004.
He has served as the Editor-in-Chief for Springer Photonic Network Communications Journal and the EAI Endorsed Transactions on Future Internet. He has served as a member of the Editorial Board for several international journals including IEEE Transactions of Mobile Computing, ACM/Springer Wireless Networks Journal and Elsevier Optical Switching, Networking Journal and IEEE Networking Letters.
He has served on the Steering Committee of IEEE International Conference on Advanced Networks and Telecommunications Systems (ANTS) and ICST International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Systems: Computing, Networking and Services (MobiQuitous). He is a Fellow of the IEEE, Fellow of INAE and an ACM Distinguished Scientist.

Prof. Dr. Ravi Kumar

Professor Dr. Ravi Kumar, Dean- Administration at IIT Roorkee is an academic leader of eminence, who has championed higher education as a learned academician and able administrator for the past 30 years. Prof. Dr. Ravi Kumar received BE (honours) in 1987 and M.Tech degree from NIT- Bhopal and a PhD degree in IIT – Roorkee in 2000. He joined academics at IIT Roorkee and had been teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the last three decades. Prof. Dr. Ravi Kumar has supervised 23 PhD students from IIT Roorkee. Prof. Dr. Ravi Kumar has attended several National and International Conferences, presented/published numerous papers in reputed journals and authored several books.
